Graphica
Photography and Graphic Design have been a lifelong interest.
The reason I chose the word Coal is because coal represents fire to ignite creativity and creative juices. Coal is similar to graphite. Coal can be used to sketch and create graphical elements in a way that resembles the art scene in San Francisco in the mid-nineties. Drawing from that trend, photography becomes a graphical medium of expression adding to the way photographic prints are traditionally viewed and displayed.
Experiments With Light
The photograph that you see on the right is called Embers. Until a few years ago, people would celebrate the festival called Holi the night before by lighting a bonfire. The image captures the dying embers of the Holi fire. It was created using a Nikon CoolPix 800, one of the first digital cameras to be introduced. The same concept was used to “paint with light,” by moving the camera across the fire. These images can be viewed in the Gallery section, under Paint With Light.
Photography is an art.
