Photo of the Day: The Silent Murals

Silence. This is a photograph of a series of Murals of Mount Mary Church, after renovation. Taken with a smartphone, the image echoes the feel of the Church during the afternoon sun, light breeze and a time for silent communion. I’ve been visiting this church for many decades. It’s smack dab on the hill from where you can walk down to the oceanside. 

They really ought to have heritage tours of all the churches of Bandra West with a high tea with the local residents. To hear their stories of Catholicism and practicing it in the cultural environment of Bandra and Mumbai.  

Best time to visit Mount Mary Church: afternoon on a sunny day.
